The "Snack" was developed throughout the career of pro surfer Pedro Scooby. He was improving in competitions, but also invested his time between producing videos of aerials and freesurfing. It was necessary to create something to meet the expectations of such a versatile guy.
Over the years, we've updated the model with feedback from other pros and freesurfers of our team. Today, the SNACK is the most versatile model in our range and so popular among surfers. One of its most relevant features arises from the combination of three elements at the same water entry point: greater outline area in the chest, smooth rocker and single concave. It was a good start in the construction of the SNACK. This combination guaranteed excellent paddling and board stability.
Then, we were inserting elements that generated more speed and performance to the board. From that entry point, the single concave gradually increased towards the tail, with a more accentuated double concave at the height of the fins, delivering more drive and speed to the board.
The smooth entrance rocker, from the middle to the back, gradually increases, becoming more accentuated as it approaches the tail. The same happened with the outline, with a subtle curve closer to the tail. Fundamental characteristics to bring more mobility to the board, providing shorter curves and greater safety in the ripped. This whole process has been going on for years, through small adjustments.
The result made SNACK a compact board, which combines excellent paddling, stability and high performance in the most diverse conditions that an all aroud can provide, from 02 to 06 feet. Considered by many to be “a sure shot” for almost all surfing conditions.
O modelo "Snack" foi criado e desenvolvido ao longo da carreira do surfista profissional Pedro Scooby. Na época, Pedro não apenas se dedicava as competições, como também já investia seu tempo entre a produção de vídeos de aéreos e viagens. Era então preciso criar algo para atender as expectativas de um cara tão versátil.
Com o passar dos anos, fomos atualizando o modelo com o feedback trazido por pros e freesurfers de nossa equipe. Hoje, a SNACK é o modelo mais versátil de nossa gama e com maior aceitação entre os surfistas. Uma de suas mais relevantes características surgiu através do encontro de três elementos no mesmo ponto de entrada de água: maior área de outline no peito, rocker suave e single concave. Essa combinação garantia, de partida, excelente remada e estabilidade à prancha.
Em seguida, fomos inserindo elementos que gerassem mais velocidade e performance.
A partir desse ponto de entrada, o single concave foi aumentando suavemente até o tail, com double concave mais acentuado na altura das quilhas, entregando mais drive e velocidade a prancha.
Já o suave rocker de entrada passou, do meio pra trás, a aumentar gradativamente, ficando mais acentuado na medida em que se aproxima do tail. O mesmo se deu com o outline, com uma sutil curva mais fechada até o tail. Características fundamentais para trazer mais mobilidade a prancha, proporcionando curvas mais curtas e maior segurança nas rasgadas.
Todo esse processo foi acontecendo durante anos, através de pequenos ajustes.
O resultado fez da SNACK uma prancha compacta, que combina excelente remada, estabilidade e alta performance nas mais diversas condições que uma all aroud pode proporcionar, de 02 a 06 pés. Considerada por muitos “um tiro certeiro”para quase todas as condições de surf.
